A Thanksgiving Call to Action
It’s been a difficult month. But in these challenging times, we are grateful for what we accomplished this year with your partnership and support.
Every voter contact, every event attended, every dollar donated, and every letter sent to an elected official made a difference. Together, we won 75% of the races we were involved in. We ensured the overwhelming majority of Jewish voters continued to support Democrats, built an important community to take action, and cultivated a movement to advance our values in the coming year.
Our work continues in 2025 as we stand up to a dangerous Trump administration, advocate for our views, and lay the groundwork for future election wins. In many ways, this work has never been more important, and we need your ongoing involvement. So before Thanksgiving, please deepen your support of JDCA so we can continue to deepen our work in the months and years ahead.
Donate to JDCA today to stand up to Trump and fight for our values.
FIGHT FOR OUR VALUES. SUPPORT JDCA TODAY.
The presidential election did not end the way we had hoped it would, but we had a meaningful impact that laid a strong foundation for our work in the future.
Our movement helped deliver 71% of the Jewish vote for Kamala Harris and Democrats. Our volunteers made more than 2.8 million direct voter contacts and knocked on nearly 53,000 doors in battleground states. We had 46 campus fellows who made 1.6 million direct voter contacts. Our ads were seen over 53 million times. More than 65,000 of you joined us for in-person and virtual programs.
Despite the painful loss at the top of the ticket, we know the Jewish vote helped deliver important victories for Democrats in 2024.
In 15 of our races where Democrats won by close margins, the size of the Jewish voting population was larger than the margin of victory. The Jewish vote helped secure victories for Democrats in four key Senate races – Elissa Slotkin in Michigan, Jacky Rosen in Nevada, Ruben Gallego in Arizona, and Tammy Baldwin in Wisconsin – as well as 11 House races.
Jewish voters also helped defend and flip House seats, including Laura Gillen in NY-04, Josh Riley in NY-19, Tom Suozzi in NY-03, George Whitesides in CA-27, and Janelle Bynum in OR-05.
In a Republican-controlled Congress, these candidates will be critical voices for Jewish values, and we’re grateful.
Finally, we are thankful that JDCA will continue the fight next year and beyond. We were made for this moment. When Donald Trump won in 2016, there was no national organization representing Jewish Democrats. In the immediate aftermath of neo-Nazis marching in Charlottesville in 2017, JDCA emerged to give Jewish Americans a voice in fighting Trump’s hateful and dangerous agenda. We’ve been doing it ever since, along with millions of Jewish voters across the country, including you. Our work goes beyond winning elections and also includes advocacy, which we’ve already deepened in 2024.
Thank you for your support and for being a part of our movement. We hope you and yours have a wonderful Thanksgiving.
Happy Thanksgiving,
Halie Soifer
